Light element abundances in He-rich stars
We present an abundance analysis of light elements in He-rich stars. The
analysis is based on both low and high resolution observations collected at
ESO, La Silla, Chile in the optical region and includes 6 standards and 21
He-rich stars. Light-element abundances display a diverse pattern: they range
from under-solar up to above-solar values.Comment: 4 pages, no figure, to appear in: Proc. of the 26th workshop of the

Annealing Effect for Supersolid Fraction in He
We report on experimental confirmation of the non-classical rotational
inertia (NCRI) in solid helium samples originally reported by Kim and Chan. The
onset of NCRI was observed at temperatures below ~400 mK. The ac velocity for
initiation of the NCRI suppression is estimated to be ~10 m/sec. After an
additional annealing of the sample at K for 12 hours, ~ 10% relative
increase of NCRI fraction was observed. Then after repeated annealing with the
same conditions, the NCRI fraction was saturated. It differs from Reppy's
observation on a low pressure solid sample.Comment: to be published in J. of Low Temp. Phys. (QFS2006 proceedings
CP violation in
We study CP violation in decay.
This decay provides a good place to look for CP violation. Some observables are
very sensitive to the electric dipole moment and
therefore can be used to improve the experimental upper bound on .
CP violations in the lepton pair decays of and are also
discussed.Comment: 8 pages, RevTex, UM-P-92/113, OZ-92/3
Letter from J to Hubert Creekmore
J writes from Jackson, Mississippi, to Creekmore, care of John Valentine Schaffner in New York City. He congratulates Creekmore on the publication of The Chain in the Heart. He mentions Eudora Welty\u27s The Ponder Heart. Includes envelope.https://egrove.olemiss.edu/creekmore/1152/thumbnail.jp
Measurement of Bc Mass and Lifetime at LHCb
The mass and lifetime measurements using the decay at the LHCb experiment were studied. About 310 signal events
are expected for a data set which corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1
fb, with a ratio equal to 2. Based on these data, the
mass and lifetime can be measured with expected statistical errors below 2
MeV/ and 30 fs, respectively.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figures, Proceedings of the XVII International Workshop on

Polarization enhancement in ,He)n reaction: Nuclear teleportation
I show that an experimental technique used in nuclear physics may be
successfully applied to quantum teleportation (QT) of spin states of massive
matter. A new non-local physical effect the `quantum-teleportation-effect' is
discovered for the nuclear polarization measurement. Enhancement of the neutron
polarization is expected in the proposed experiment for QT that discriminates
{\it only} one of the Bell states.Comment: 3 pages, accepted for publication in J. Phys.
Thin Films of 3He -- Implications on the Identification of 3 He -A
Recently the identification of 3He-A with the axial state has been
questioned. It is suggested that the A-phase can actually be in the axiplanar
state. We point out in the present paper that experiments in a film geometry
may be useful to distinguish the above two possibilities. In particular a
second order phase transition between an axial and an axiplanar state would
occur as a function of thickness or temperature.Comment: 3 pages, no figures latex- revtex aps accepted by J. of Low
